Beauty For Lazy Girls

We’ve all been there. Monday morning rolls around and you’re not quite ready to face the world. And you certainly don’t feel like messing with a complicated hair and makeup process. Or maybe you just don’t like complicated beauty in general. Either way,
we have some ideas that will allow you to hit the snooze button and still look fabulous.

  1. Dry Shampoo

If you’re a morning shower person, skip the hair washing and get to spraying. It’s also great for days when your hair needs a little more volume or texture – even if it’s clean. Our favorite is KMS Makeover Spray.

Tip: Our stylist Gabby says to use dry shampoo at night so it has a chance to prevent oil build up. Beauty while you sleep!

  2. Micellar Water

Ah, the classic French beauty secret. Micellar water is used to remove makeup without stripping your skin of its natural oils. Perfect for those days when you don’t have the time or energy to wash your face. We carry a fantastic micellar water made by French skincare company, Guinot.

  3. Accessorize.

Tim Gunn always tells the designers on Project Runway to use the accessory wall wisely and you should too! A pair of statement earrings, scarf, or a well placed hair pin can transform a whole look from drab to fab…meaning the rest of you can be more understated.

  4. Play up your lips.

Eye makeup can take forever and it’s easy to mess up when you’re in a rush.
To simplify the process, put on some foundation (if absolutely necessary), a swipe of mascara, a kiss of blush, and opt for a lip color that speaks for itself. We’re into Brick-House by glo right now.

Tip: You can also use your lip color as blush! Since lipstick is highly pigmented, just use a small amount on your fingers and dab your cheeks until the desired intensity is achieved.

  5. Prepare.

If you know you like to sleep in, choose tomorrow’s outfit before you go to bed. That way, you won’t be groggy and frustrated that you have nothing to wear. You can even prepare breakfast the night before. Search Pinterest for breakfast meal prep. Those overnight oats sound delicious!

Now we turn to you! What are some of your favorite ways to save time or simplify your morning routine? Tell us in the comments!
